The Third Reich annexed Austria. They annexed Sudentenland. They claimed these countries and territories were part of the German peoples posterity, that race was the defining factor not political borders. Lebensraum was codified as a political oabjective. In Israel today we hear proposed in the Knesset the view that the Arabs living in Um el Fahm should be transferred (the euphemism is "exchanged") to an Arab country of their choice in order to promote a Jewish demographic majority in the Galil. The Nazis did not transfer Germans to Sudentenland, or to Poland. They did not need to. The Germans relocated there willingly because they were commited to the ideology of Nazism and their lebensraum doctrine. They were also given economic incentives. This is not different from what Israel has done in the occupied territories, where Jews were encouraged to relocate, to establish facts on the ground to the detriment of the local population and where the Jewish colonists, solely because of their ethnic status would receive benefits from the state that were not available to those of different ethnic status. Expansion of borders is lebensraum, taking of territory that is claimed to be theirs because of history. The others, living there prior to the annexation must be transferred out or submissive and made available as a cheap labor source for the occupying power.
