I post this at the risk of turning the Talkback board into a personal battle, which it absolutely should not be. Most of your response is not worth responding to, but there are a couple points I want to address: 1. Progressive Jews do not by any means wish to restrict the use of mechitzot in Orthodox synagogues--they simply feel it's sexist, anachronistic, and useless, and thus don't use it in their own prayer spaces. 2. You know of "many more crimes committed by homosexuals than by Orthodox Jews." I am astonished that anyone could say that, especially considering the recent furor over the confessed child-killer Yisrael Vales. Not only does that remark make no sense, it shows a complete lack of understanding or knowledge of the world at large. Feel free to prove me wrong, but that comment seems to me to be a symptom of the Orthodox world's living within a bubble. The Nazis knew of many more crimes committed by Jews than Aryans, too.
