Israel has tried. When Britain took 80% of Palestine gave it independence and renamed it Jordan, Jews didn't complain. When the Un voted to partition the remaining Palestinian land into 2 states with borders and govts based on demographic majority, Jews accepted it and invited Arabs to stay and be citizens in their half. Arabs promised genocide against Jews. Both sides attempted to live up or down to their promises. There are now over 1.4 Million Arab Israeli citizens. Arabs killed or expelled every Jew from all land seized by Arabs in 1948. The cycle continues. P.S. for the "best" of times, google the term "dhimmi."
