    I think you are right about this Joe. It would take a nuclear iran to restore sense into Israel - in a good way. But sense is the last thing that the powers that be want.. Still, it worked for pakistan, didn't it? many say that had it not been for both Pakistan and india possessing nukes, kashmir would have blown up already. And now? peace and quiet (almost..). What's the difference between pakistan and iran? the latter seems to be more civilized, if anything. Oh, and it does have oil, too (the price of which is climbing and will continue to do so, as realization dawns that the oil peak is already upon us). There is plenty of saber rattling in both countries against israel, but there is also saber rattling in Israel and the US against Iran. I see zero sum gain in the works. Israel feels threatened by every whisper and whiff of would-be threat. Iran feels threatened because it should, as Israel shows it has every intention of resorting to some middle eastern version of "shock and awe"
