Jews were NEVER persecuted in an Independent Estonia, not in its current independence period from 1991 to today, nor in the first independence period from 1918 to 1940. Were Jews sent to concentration camps when Estonia was occupied by Hitler's Germany? Yes. Were Jews sent to gulags when Estonia was occupied by Stalin's Soviet Union? Yes, along with many other Estonians who also perished there. Estonia had a Jewish community that grew and enjoyed all freedom of worship until 1940 when the Red Army invaded and closed all the Estonian Jewish Synagogues and all the Estonian Christian Churches in Soviet occupied Estonia. Those synagogues would remain closed of course during the Nazi German occupation and the following 50 years of Soviet occupation and would not open again until the collapse of communism and then the collapse of the Soviet Union. Jews were always free in Independent Estonia and never free in occupied Estonia. I do not understand why then people chosen by God by whom the law and commandments of God are given should then turn to glorify atheist communism and the red army that spead atheistic communism.?
