Jesus was a Galilean. The term "Palestine" was given to the area in 135 AD, after the Second Jewish Revolt against Rome. That was over 100 years AFTER Jesus' resurrection! By the time of World War I, Arabs who lived in what is today Israel (which includes the West Bank and Gaza, according to the still legally binding Palestine Mandate of 1922) called themselves Syrian and wanted to merge Palestine with Syria. The term "Palestine" became defunct on May 14, 1948 when the Jews declared their independence, changing the name of THEIR homeland from Palestine to Israel, It wasn't until 1963 that Arab governments resurrected the defunct name "Palestine" when they had to alter their offensive strategy towards Israel. The newly minted "Palestinians" are Arab governments' Long-Range Strategy towards Israel. In other words, Arab governments are in a proxy war with Israel, where the "Palestinians" are the proxy.
