I guess I would prefer a neutral term like killing. It's hard for me to see the difference between a Jew killing to get the right to return to his ancestral homeland and a Palestinian killing to get the right to return to HIS ancestral homeland. If anything, my sympathies are more with the person whose family left in 1948 than the person whose family left in the first century. By the way, I felt the same way about the Serbs (Christians) who tried to throw the natives out of Kosovo because it was their ancestral homeland and had great religious significance to them - so don't start yelling anti-semitism.
