The world as it really is. Japan offered no apology to anybody they hurt. If this were 40 years ago, the Japanese would understand. But, today's generation knows very little of what their country did to Asia. They don't know the horrors the Chinese had at Nanking. That was so, last century. All is forgiven? Hardly. I won't buy a Volkswagen. The people of Germany started and lost WWI. That mighty country was on it's knees when it surrendered. However, that war ended before Berlin could be destroyed. That left them with the thought that they could rebuild and recover it's glory. They did not realize how awful war really is. So, they listened to a new leader. His reaction was to steal everything, not just wealth, but life, itself. The Germans must never forget the Holocaust. (Just like Armenia must never let Turkey off the hook).

Hello 40th birthday, goodbye news

A milestone birthday is as good an opportunity as any for a midlife crisis about the Middle East crises.
