"The US is gaining power and influence every day by generously supporting programs and countries around the world and by fighting the negaive elements of radical Islamist terrorism while promoting democratic regimes." - Jane That is silly Jane, just PNAC twaddle. The US has fumbled the ball all over the world. We have become unimportant in Asia. We support such democracies as Pakistan and Saudi, but oppose the fruits of democracy in Palestine. We have become a laughing stock in much of the world and much of the rest hates us as bullies. The US is losing two wars it started in the last 6 years. Losing two wars which you had already declared victory in is not something that elevates national respect. The entire world is waiting the clock out, trying to prevent, one way or another, another idiotic war by the aged child in the White House and his degenerate gunslinger VP. Watch the next meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to see just how out of it the US currently is.
