I am not disputing the failures of the UN past or present, but your argument is like saying because the US for decades supported some of the most vicious pig regimes in central and south america that the US should be disbanded. The UN still has value as a forum for the world to at least meet, it has many successes as well, their are millions of people who die right now if your plans for the UN wer adopted. The UN must be reformed no doubt, it must become the foundation for world govt, the way foward is to strengthen the UN and make it more powerful and relevant. Many of the UNs failures are because nation states will not back it often to the extent they should. For the UN to intevenes the way you and I would want it too , the UN must be strenghtened, not weakened. The UN is very important for the world.REgards Danite
