Both sides of any peace treaty think that they are entitled for everything. The Egyptians got their territory back, and billions in US 'aid' in exchange for having peace (and security-related arrangements) with Israel. The Israelis gave up control of said territory for said peace (and ended a state of war which was the biggest threat to Israel at the time). It sounds like you would prefer that Egypt would still be at war with Israel.
