Jacobson is a fine writer, but his views on the situation for Jews in the UK and on anti-semitism do not reflect the UK I know. He fails to note that anti-Muslim feeling is much stronger here than anti-semitism. He makes the most fundamental error of equating anger with Israeli policies in the OPT with anti-semitism - does he call Gideon Levy a self-hating Jew as well? On arts boycotts, I wonder how he feels about the US artists including Martha Graham who rejected offers to attend the 1936 Olympiad in Nazi Berlin. So please do read his books, but take h his views on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict and the situation of Jews in the UK with a shovel of salt.
