The Temple Mount Faithful, the bochrim studying the laws of ritual slaughter at Yeshivat Ateret Kohanim and those who are behind the breeding of the red heifer are not interested in reciting psalms in a corner of Har Habayit and to say so is a lie. Go on line, as ever poster on thhs site should and read the website of the Temple Mount Faithful. Their intentions ar clearly stated. When I lived in Israel they were nothing but a laughable fringe. They are no longer just that. I am not aware of Muslim intentions to set up an abbattoir on the Haram es Sharif. Perhaps you are referring to Mecca and medina. Muslims, from my understanding do not immolate their animals who are slaughtered. Thery distribute the meat to the poor. I would find that as repugnant as Jews bringing up animals by the tens of thousands for sacrifice. How many animals were sacrificed in a week do you estimate, Jacob Blues, both obligatory and volitional? The ten Copmmandments were not in the Second Temple having been destroyed after the destruction of the First Temple. I understand very well what the Temple meant for ancient Jews. Others had temples and so we needed one for our God as well. Many othodox Jews long for the restoration of both the temple service and the sacrifical cult. I enjoy reading the Avodah Service very much on Yom Kippur and if God chooses to revela Himself again to us as He did a 3,000 years ago I should hope I would be open to it but I think very strongly that I would believe that that same God commanded me to kill thousands if not millions in His Name to restore His House on a site where there is no profanation of His Name.
