There is no reason for Oren to attend the J-Street conference except to give it more legitimacy than it deserves. It is not a "left-leaning" group but a left to ultra-left group. Obama gives it a hug because it serves as a Jewish face in support of his actions which if followed will severely compromise the survival of Israel. J-Street is able to pose as an important group because of all the money supporting it, the terrific PR campaign to paint it as an important player and the positive face that most of the print media give it.
