j-street is a far left group of jews, american and israeli, as well as some arabs and iranians. one of the founders of the group was george soros, the man with a finger in every pie, and whose distate for israel is well known. j-street does not represent the average israeli or the interests of the state of israel. j-street represents its own views and its own ambitions regarding the middle east. there is nothing illegitimate about j-street, as long as we all understand that it is a goup on the far left of the ideological spectrum, and one that represents mainly an american point of view. j-street does not represent the majority view of israelis. hence, j-street does not speek for israel. lastly, the political action committee of j-street supports its own hand-picked candidates for u.s. congress. quite obviously, j-street has political ambitions beyond just advocacy.
