Looking for some kind of historical metaphor to use for the Occupation: I choose the example of US western expansion which repressed and occupied and destroyed Native American(s) culture, civilization, communities and homes in order to build settlements. They too held fast to a messianic ideology of privilege and entitlement to what is not theirs... The occupation may posses the manifestations of Apartheid but it's ideological base is in Manifest Destiny, or the right to destroy in order to settle...
