Gender inequality in the workplace seems to be an inevitable part of the capitalist society. Capitalism is the system that cannot survive without inequality regardless of gender. In the UK 92% of wealth is owned by 5% of the population, this trend seems to follow all capitalist societies globally. Marx was absolutely right when he spoke of the tiny ruling class compared to the massive working class. Therefore if capitalism creates inequality for most then gender inequality will inevitably feature in a capitalist society. Its wrong but its imbedded in antiquated thought!
