It would be a kind gesture, which has no precedent. It might even be interpreted as a first step towards friendly relations between the israeli and palestinian states. I think it would be the right and noble thing to do, especially considering how many palestinian homes have been bulldozed and hundreds of olive trees and grape vines have been uprooted.
