it was a colonial decision, made thousands of kilometers away from the land, decided by the world powers over the heads of the local Palestinian leaders. The Palestinians were wold: either you accept this decision, or not, but we will decide anyway. Count Bernadotte was one of the few who actually considered to listen to the Palestinians, but he was murdered by jewish terrorists... How can you expect the Palestinians to stand by idle when the world leaders decide about them loosing their land, the military forced them out as refugees and the soldiers closed the borders for them to return home..... How do you expect them to say that the land that was stolen from them is not their land??? okay, we need to be practical now and have some sort of fair and just solution to the new situation, nobody wants Israel to disappear, but that doesn't mean we should expect the Palestinians to undergo even more humiliation.
