but the last decade showed to Israelis (and to many in the diaspora) that Jews cannot afford to have a full pleasure of demonstrating to be morally on higher grounds whereas Hamas or Hezbollah were capitalizing vis a vis the world - exactly on this card. To be clear: the sole idea of settlements is alien to me (with exception of minor changes natural to the fact that 40+ years has passed). But just giving away something "because we want to be 100% just" or "because it contributes to more Jewish Israel", also bears danger to the people. Now: if it was already dangerous after withdrawing from a small Gaza, just imagine how many more times it is dangerous to "just" give away the West Bank: situated on hills overlooking the Israel proper, with area 15x larger area than Gaza, and knowing that Iranian regime will not spare chance to surround Israel this way via Hamas proxy. So even if giving back has many advantages, it is extremely dangerous. The world should realize it and you, journalists, should always underline it while writing to the world about this mess.
