But so far, this is just a rumor from the Al-Quds al-Arabi newspaper. The chances are that some Hamas spokesman will deny the report tomorrow. However, suppose they don't, then a ceasefire might be possible if Hamas can rein in the other militant/terrorist groups, at least effect a major drop in the number of rockets being fired at Israel, and make serious efforts to stop it completely. Why would Hamas consider a ceasfire at this point? Do they want a breather to rearm and regroup as some have suggested? Is the six-month-long ostracization by the entire international community (except for the Persians) getting to them? Are they beginning to realize that the rocket fire is causing 20 times the number of Gazan-militant casualties than it is inflicting on the Israelis? Do they want to avoid being reoccupied by the IDF? Love that photograph though. "Gaza is cleaned up" except for the graffiti on the walls, the raw sewage in the streets, the garbage and litter everywhere, and potholes

Bernie Sanders’ Israeli cousin: He's an honest politician, I'm 100% behind him

While old-timers at Kibbutz Sha’ar Ha’amakim in northern Israel are racking their brains to recall Bernie Sanders from a volunteer stint in the 1960s, Haaretz tracked down a first cousin of the Democratic presidential hopeful at a moshav in the Negev.
