Even a mild, subdued, realpolitik-inspired "apology" by Israel, won't bring Turkey back to being an ally. Turkey doesn't have even a normal relationship with Israel among its goals. Don't give in, don't apologize. You may say you are very sorry about the tragic outcome, that you lament it, but you can't take the blame, Israel. Just say no, and not for ego's sake, but for sound political realism, and for the sake of honesty and truthfulness: It's Turkey who sponsored the IHH and the thugs of the Mavi Marmara. Stop the fantasy that baseless self-flagellation will yield results with Erdogan & Gul. Turkey is now part of the axis of evil. It decided it from Davos onwards. The Ottomans are back, 2.0.
