My late father always confirmed this fact. When PM Netanyahu nominated hard-liner Moshe Ya'alon within his cabinet as Vice Prime Minister, then my father knew that PM Netanyahu was not interested in making peace. Putting an additional obstacle around him was not moving forward. Indeed, if Israel's national interests were at the heart of their agenda, then they would have been sincere about taking the necessary steps to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The Iran issue is just an extension of all this continuing unresolved ME conflict.
