That's what Erekat and Abbas must be asking themselves. Hamas has its own little enclave of free Palestine in Gaza. It's besieged but it's free. Abbas has all the power of a local mayor, and is still powerless to stop settlements expanding and the IDF making raids where and when they like. Israel still has its foot on the neck of Palestine even if it's raised a toe or two. You can't seriously suggest the Pals suggest flexibility on RoR. Why should they when all the evidence suggests that past concessions haven't go the Pals anything much in return?
