War is ugly, and in war civilians get killed and mistakes are made. These mistakes are amplified and are more common when the enemy uses ugly tactics and hides itself among the population, effectively using them as human shields. This is basic logic, when you hide among civilians, fire near their houses, and stash your ammo and missiles in their schools, civilians are far more likely to get hurt, then an open ground or forest fighting. European and Americans could usually complain from the safety of their rooms, but they're living in glass houses now when the same things happen in Iraq and Afghanistan. Hamas is the bearer of responsibility here all around. It is their tactics to use civilians in the ways described. It was their choice to initiate this war by constantly firing missiles across the border in order to kill and terrorize civilians of all ages. It was their responsibility to evacuate civilians from war zones, but that would counter their tactics. The other side can only do so much to protect the innocents of the other side, and restraining ourselves and calling our targets is more than you can say on other armies.
