There are objective reasons for an all-out war: 1. Israel is rushing to build more anti-missile batteries, but in the coming months Tel-Aviv and the north are still completely exposed. 2. The Assad regime is teetering on the brink. Its fall may endanger Hizballah and Iran's position. (It depends on what regime replaces Assad's.) There is nothing like war to unite the Syrians behind the regime. 3. A war will ignite the Palestinian population, especially after the coming recognition of their state by the UN. With the IDF busy at the fronts, they will be able to achieve control over additional areas. 4. Israel's international position is at an all-time low, and Obama is angry at Netanyahu. The US may not help much, especially under threat of an Arab oil boycott, and Turkey will get NATO paralyzed if they even consider helping Israel./ This October is probably a good time for Iran to ignite the area, after UN members express their disgust at the Yahoos, and with the Arabs remembering October 1973.
