An Apache, rigged for maximum ferrying range with maximum external fuel instead of weapons and only a pilot, no missile gunner, might just make it to Port Sudan and back to Israel's southernmost Uvda airbase - assuming no headwinds. But why do that when an F-16 or F-15 Strike Eagle would do the job faster and better. A slow radar-noisy Apache looks about the size of 747 on radar (Egypt's and Saudi seeing it on the way, also), not a weapon of choice for this. And how to be sure the terrorist car would be in an exact location on a certain road 4 hours in advance??? That's some "proof" Sudan has that they were hit by an IAF Apache helicopter! And yes, Israel has scuppered Sudan's chance to be removed from the state terrorism list - after being forced by Congress to abandon his loony arms sale to Lebanon plans, Obama is not going to push on Sudan, he's already in enough trouble forremoving Libya and returning the US ambassodor to Syria (now butchering its own people - where's the Obama NO Fly Zone?).
