Their mindset is this: If Israel WANTS something then it is entitled to have it, and the only question then becomes how much compensation the Pals get. That almost everything that Israel WANTS involves something that Israel isn't actually entitled to have is a concept that leaves a zionist slack-jawed and uncomprehending. They therefore enter into negotiations with a complete misunderstanding of who is "giving" and who is "taking" i.e. the Pals "give" and the Israelis "take", and yet the Israelis are utterly convinced that they are being generous to a fault. It is a bizarre example of myopia elevated to a national level, and it explains why the negotiations never, ever get anywhere..... the Israelis keep wanting more, and the more they want the more "generous" they think they are being.....
