Back in the time when the Hasidic movement was just beginning the Lithuatian Mitnagdim said, and did things toward Hasidim, to the point that in some cases, one of prerequiesites for a Litvah, candidate for a Chatan, was that they were not a Chisid. It well know that Rabbi Eibeschutz, who opininons of Halachic matters differed on some issues, was accued of being a follower of Shabtai Zevi, one the more potent things a Jews in those days should NOT have been. That the some of this is coming up shouldn't surprise anyone that knows the Haredi leadership. Indeed, there are issues that are kept on a low burner you would never know, unless you were really curious. It happens, and it's unfortunate, and at some point they factions make peace. Between the opening bell, to compromise, it takes time and patience. May the journalists undersand that, and stop imagining whenever they hear sparks from the Haredi sector it means its a fire--most of the time it's l'Sheym Shamayim, but the dudes writing the items aren't Ya'ei Shamiyim to understand that.

For French teen studying in Israel, it's all about being a Jew among Jews

Arrivals / Departures: Anti-Semitism in France is certainly not the reason why this teen chose to come to Israel; an Israeli whose relatives perished in the Holocaust finds living in Berlin 'perfectly fine.'
