"Israel is also reportedly refusing to release 44 prisoners from East Jerusalem and 20 Israeli Arabs arrested before the Oslo Accord" Israel has time again gave a very clear message that it will only release Arab prisoners in exchange for kidnapped soldiers. Just look at the recent deals with Hizballah. What message does it give Jordanians when their citizens are released in a deal with Hizballah instead of the peace agreement Jordan signed with Israel? What message does it give the Palestinians when PLO members jailed before the 1993 watershed agreement between Palestinians and Israelis are still held hostage despite the mutual recognition. The message is: Kidnap one of us to get your prisoners out. Hizballah got all Lebanese prisoners out that way. Also, don't give me the crap about all Arab prisoners being terrorist. Those who are in jail for attacking IDF are not terrorist, otherwise Shalit himself is terrorist.
