Israel always wants to frame its internal problems with the Palestinians in terms of the "larger Middle East's" problems. They simply can't solve the issue of sub-class citizens in their democracy unless the whole Middle East is the way they want it. Unfortunately, Israelis have to look at themselves in the mirror with respect to their own problems. They are subjugating a grouping of people that represents a majority within the borders that they control without appropriate political representation. This is not a democracy and also is not right. Israel can't solve the larger Middle East's problems, but it is the only entity that can solve the serious problem within its borders of control.
