I am an American who rarely watches the junk that comes out of Hollywood. I much prefer to watch Israeli films. The characters, the settings, the stories are real and meaningful, not Hollywood glitz. I am pleased to see that recognition for the Israeli film industry now extends to documentaries, and I congratulate those who created the films and those who are in them for being courageous enough to hold up the mirror and let us see some truths about ourselves we don't ordinarily like to look at.
