She didn´t go to our enemies. She acted as a whistleblower (like an israeli Daniel Ellsberg) because she believes in the high moral standards and values that our leaders talk about all the time. Well, she did not just talk, she acted. From this, we got some revelations about questionable standards in Tzahal. Good. And our leaders now know how easy it is to find and steal senisitive material. So - Kam´s action has led to good things. Good for Israel. On the other hand - Israel is not Norway and The Middle East is not Scandinavia. We have real and active enemies. It´s a dangerous neighbourhood. The US fought their war far far away. Our enemies are next door, and they are mobilizing in order to strike. The law is clear, and this is a society that adheres to the rule of law. I believe, however, that the judges should restrain themselves and show some leniency. 4-6 years would be enough.
