There is not enough room to detail all of Mr. Eldar's mistakes, but he is writing from deliberate ignorance. This article makes it seem as if the issues pertaining to Israel and its neighbors is all a result of recent occurrences. While it is understandable that Arabs are upset by recent events, this is hardly the reason for their anger. What Mr. Eldar chooses to ignore is years and years of anti-semitism, and out and out Jew hatred which is promulgated in the media, newspapers, books, textbooks, and just about every media outlet you care to name. Not to mention blaming all of their ills on Israel and the Jews, conspiracy theories that boggle the mind and so on. Arab anger against Israel is also a result of the fact that the Arabs harbor unbelievable enmity as a result of their inability to defeat Israel on the battlefield. Israel's humbling itself will only lead to more, not less attacks.
