It is outrageous that I, living on the opposite side of the world, would be allowed to visit Jerusalem while Palestinians are barred from entering the city. Even residents of Abu Dis, a suburb of Jerusalem cut off by the apartheid wall cannot visit their places of worship, their friends and families. They may be granted permits for medical treatment but must travel alone to hospital without the support of a family member.
