people who fire rockets at it? Israel hasn't ceded ANY territory in its history Petra. It vacated Sinai, which was legally Egyptian territory. Ditto south Lebanon, which was legally Lebanese territory. Ditto Gaza, which is legally Palestinian territory. It couldn't legally keep them. You seem to have a little difficulty with understanding international law (John from Kansas too). You can neither cede/annex a territory you conquer nor settle it without the consent of the territory's rightful government. (In the case of Palestine, the PA is the recognised de facto government). Belligerent occupation is only a temporary measure, so Israel cannot hang on to Palestine or the Golan indefinitely either. Talk of Israel annexing this and ceding that is just wishful thinking, it has no legality whatsoever and never will have in international law. Simples, eh?
