He's right about Tel Lachish. I've been there and there weren't even guides when I went. But as well as its amazing Jewish history, modern also needs to celebrate its amazing Arab history. Why not celebrate Saladin for instance? It would do wonders both for Israel's image and its internal strength, if it openly embraced its Arab history and made a big feature of it.
