The Israeli society has become so paronoid of nonJews around them, and so prone to violence, it is almost impossible for its neighbours to convince them that they have no hostile intent. Israel will not be surprised again, like they were in 1973, so its forces will be ready and on alert all the time. Egypt, Syria and Jordan will not be surprised again either, as they were in 1967. Their forces will be ready to respond to any Israeli provocations. So Israel may as well just start this fight now, or return to the 1967 borders now. Trying to take any more land that the 67 borders will simply delay the fight for another year or two. So, if Israel will not make peace, they might as well stop playing around and start the war. They lose or they win doesn't matter. In the end it is better for everyone.
