Arab communities worry over lack of personal safety and trust that police will take action.01:20 02.05.16 | 1 comments
Now Hillary Clinton is forced by Julian Assange's Wikileaks to admit it, after a tsunami of documents has been leaked. It is premature to say what consequences all this will have, before the dust settles down. But the assertion that it won't affect ties, is premature too. Statements calling Merkel "risk-avoiding and not creative" or Sarkozy "thin-skinned and authoritarian" or asking a mental health investigation on Argentina's Cristina Kirchner won't be happily forgotten by these US allies. Same with Afghanistan, Italy and Russia. Calling their leaders what they have called them, is not helpful to say the least. The USA is still Mel Brooks' "Get Smart", and has a culture of leaking and incontinence of classified material.
