    You are very uninformed. Are you not aware of the UN Decision of November 29, 1947 to partition the area West of the Jordan River to form two states, one for the Arabs and one for the Jews, which was accepted by the Jews and rejected by the Arabs. On May 15, 1948, the UK mandate expired and their forces concentrated in Haifa and shortly after, left the country. The Jews on that day declared the establishment of the Jewish state as envisaged by the UN, and at the same time the surrounding Arab countries including Iraq, attacked the Jewish state, and the war proceded till 1949 when an armstice was brokered by the UN representative Ralph Bunch, resulting in the Green Line, with Jordan subsequently annexing the West Bank, and Egypt administering the Gaza Strip. The UN also then established UNWRA for the Arab Refgees in these two areas and it still exists 62 years later.
