Israel will always be in a constant fight with militant Islamists as its very existence is anathema to their strenuous and violent attempts to reassert Islamic status amongst the world of "infidels" whose achievments have illogically superceded theirs. This disconnect as they see it, where the true believers in the most high G-d (Allah) and his last prophet (Mohammed) must not be found to be subservient to followers of another belief, has got to be rectified at any expense by militant Islam. Most high G-d must also mean most high and revered worldly position, be it scientific, artistic, etc., in their minds. Where did they go wrong to find themselves with such a current, lowly status? It must be Allah's disfavor with them allowing Western corruption to stain the very fabric of their moral, physical, and spiritual lives. Fortunately the G-d of Israel has not forgotten with whom He actually made the covenant with to bring His Word into the world!
