    Israel's demand that Hamas recognize them is just a trick meant to cast a Palestinian seal of approval of the settlement process and Israel's massive land grab over the years. If Hamas would ever bow to Israel's demand, then Israel would bank this valuable concession and then find other ways to overturn the peace process while doubling settlement expansion. Perhaps it might be workable for Hamas to recognize Israel as outlined in the original UN partition resolution, or even within the 1967 borders. It is totally uncalled for and unnecessary that Hamas grant a blanket recognition of Israel.
