"where are the supporters of israel`s democracy, the people who swear by israel`s democratic values," I find it amazing that the Israeli democracy finds itself under the microscope so often for issues that exist in EVERY democratic country in the world. Even those from London, Sweden and the US cannot say they have handled the problems of discrimination between groups, poor vs. rich, citizen vs. ruling house member, etc. any better. If they had, they are fooling you. Mona, even better, look at the PA and the millions of dollars they received from the world. Your PA members drive around in nice mercedes while refugees stay in camps (either because they have to, or because they are forced for good media fodder). So, you'll probably say - "Well, Israel is the problem. Occupation brings these issues. We're not a democracy". You're right on all counts. Because Israel exists, you have the perfect excuse to do nothing and cry. And the PA does nothing and blames. And the world gives more, and cries. Infact, it's BECAUSE you're not a democracy that you can actually SOLVE your problems. No long speeches, no voting, no trying to gain support from other parties, no worry about being impeached, no long sessions in congress, no laws to work on.... The PA could walk around town giving $300 to every person if they wanted to, they just choose not to.
