    And one of the keys to doing that would be removing the source of their animosity toward Israel by ending the occupation and its oppression of the Palestinians, and the creation of a viable Palestinian state, because this is probably THE greatest source of that animosity among Israel's neighbors. And in case it STILL hasn't dawned on you after all this time, it's the p-e-o-p-l-e of your neighboring countries who you need to make peace with in order to achieve security for Israel. Signing an agreement with their government - or relying on its moderate nature - is superficial at best, and is completely reliant on its longevity, making NO allowances for a change in power. Israel NEVER made peace with Egypt - it made peace with its ruling elite - and now the best you can hope for is that one form or another of that ruling elite ends up in power. But even if it does, Israel needs to WAKE UP to the realities of its surroundings!
