Regarding the recruitment of Arab players, whether Christian or Muslim, Israeli or Palestinian. At least one past IFL player has "graduated" from the Jerusalem Rebels to a US college as a football player. American football has become more popular around the world with more than 80 amateur and semi-professional leagues playing in countries around the world. As a former player myself, and now as a coach, I believe that sports is one of the ways to meet "the other" one-on-one and realize that "the devil isn't so bad" (השד לא כל-כך נורא). We need more meetings between Israelis and Palestinians in such non-political venues, so that average people on both sides have a frame of reference they never had before.
