    1. There WAS a military solution to the Tamil Tigers. Involving far larger area, more civilians imbedded among separatists. Sri Lanka got fed up with 30,000 murders, just went in and did it. No UN interference. 2. Virtually all criticism leveled at Israel related to Israeli ground invasion, undertaken in place of added air power pounding to avoid civilian casualties and gain favor with the world community. Really!! So next time around, Israel doesn't need to go to the trouble and take more casualties, world hypocrites (busy doing the same thing in Iraq and Afgan) will criticize whatever they do anyway. What you'll see is a firestorm of IAF air power pulverizing dug-in Hamas positions, which - being dug into soft sand instead of hard karst limestone Lebanon has - is highly vulnerable to collapse by sub-surface detonations. 3. In view of massive use of precision drone missile fire by US/NATO in Afgan and Pak territory, Israel will ignore criticism and resume using tactic in spades.
