Whether the Argentines are doing the right thing is beside the point. Perhaps they aren't, but it is for them, and Argentina's Jews among them to decide. Israel can give advice but it has no legal or moral position from which to reprimand. It asserts a claim over Argentine Jews, supposedly to protect them. In fact, as is the case for Jews throughout the world, israel exploits them for its own ends. It didn't, for example, protest the actions of the Argentine military government when it was disproportionately going after Jews during the "dirty war" under Argentine military rule. Israel had other fish to fry, as it has now, too.
