I can not see that bombing the airport of Beirout, killing 50 or so Lebanese and entering Lebanese territorial waters are a proportionate response to two soldiers being kidnapped. It would have been better for the people in northern Israel and Israel's goodwill in the world if it would have used diplomacy to try to solve this relatively minor incident. Israel is more responsible for the current escalation of violence than Lebanon. I hope the Israeli government comes back to the diplomatic path.
