It knows well how to create and maintain adversity. This is the single most unifying cohesive element in their society. It is not only a fear or suspicion of the Palestinian's or Arabs intentions. That exists in the settlement of any conflict. Take Northern Ireland as an example. There is something else at work, and that is Israel feels most comfortable when there is no peace. It feels more in control. Israel would love to see a long hot summer since it would be fodder for there once again saying they have no partner with whom they can settle. Israel has arrived at a point where it believes it can continue alone, that they world will come to accept its dictates and its expansionism. They believe they can go it alone. But of course, they cannot, as was the case with every colonial entity in history. Their power has blinded them to the reality that they are well on their way of becoming a pariah state.
