The headlines this week reeked of déjà vu, reminiscent of previous confrontations and intifadas, as conditions on the ground in Gaza are becoming more and more similar to those that preceded the 2014 war.19:05 05.02.16 | 4 comments
What does Netanyahu think?? "According to Netanyahu, Rohani − who is considered a relative moderate in the West − wants to exploit a resumption of Tehran’s talks with the big powers to gain time, even as his country continues with the nuclear project." So, Iran negotiates in order to delay action against it as it continues to build its nuclear capability. Isn't that exactly what Israel is doing? Israel, who condemns these negotiations which allow Iran time, is using the same strategy in its "peace" talks with the Palestinians. They enter into negotiations with the sole purpose of delaying international sanctions and Palestinian actions in the UN as they continue to eat up the West Bank with settlement construction. When is the international community and the Palestinian Authority going to realize these delaying tactics and walk out of the already failed talks and take the only action Israel will recognize . . . sanctions and bringing charges in the International Court.
